Laboratory of Organic Synthesis Home Page

     The Laboratory of Organic Synthesis (LOS) is placed at the Department of Chemistry of the FFCLP-USP. Our mission is to achieve excellence in the formation of highly qualified human resources. Over the last 35 years, more than a hundred students have developed their undergraduate, MS.C, Ph.D., or post-doctoral projects in LOS. Dozens of our ex-students have now achieved prominent positions in renamed Brazilian universities and industries (see Alumni page). 

     Currently, our laboratory counts with two highly motivated researchers working on different fields of Organic Chemistry (synthesis of natural products, development of new synthetic methodologies, nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrometry, and investigation of organic reaction mechanisms).
